On December 13, 2011, the opposition UDUB party had announced that members who wanted to run as president had to pay $10,000 each for registration and $280,000 as a deposit which could be refunded only for the contenders who were eliminated for failing to meet a set of party criteria governing the selection process.
Both Waran-Ade and Dualle lost the nomination as they were unable to raise the necessary deposit before the deadline which expired on December 27, 2011.

This is absurd. Obviously warancade or others couldn't come up with that kinda money if their lives depended on it. I think it is unfair and unethical to decide candidates based on depth of their pockets. Jamal ali hussein whom I respect and inspire by his story is hard to compete against him in that aspect. He got 3mill as bonus recently on top of his of salary. Just can't compete with him there. These sort of things should be decided on merits.

Somalistan you are right but udub is kind of bankrupt the need the money wax fahan 2015 is also a bit to early for Jamaal he should run in 2020 or something let Axmed xassan cigaal run in 2015 i prefer him over ina warancade but he seems he let warancade run for udub. Meeshuba hada way walantahay malayiin xisbi ba so baxay its not even certain that udub will pass golaha deegaanka

Emperior, in that case jamal should have gone solo. He invested so much cash in udub party that might not make it through doorashada degaanka, becuase this party lost esteem and ppl's confidence in the past

Politicaly speaking it's good for reerka HY that Warancade doesn't take over UDUB because hada atleast they will be united in Wadani and Umad and it's bad for UDUB because they've lost a larg block of their voters
