I'm of the belief that colognes and perfumes are meant to be intimate. It shouldn't be used to ward off close talkers and create space for yourself in an elevator. The only people who should be able to smell it should be yourself and anyone who gives you a hug. But high body temps might increase the effect.

Personally, I'm favouring the bergamot/spice/citrus blends.

Strong aquatic + citrus blends are great as well:
-Armani Aqua di Gio
-Ecko has a nice one i forget the name
-there are tons of these.. i think they're the most popular

I stay away from strong floral scents, most woods, and non-citrus fruity scents.
-the best and only go for this type would be Lacoste Red.
