finaly the Ethiopian Army crossed the border
www.Dayniile.com
The Ethiopian army has crossed the border and captured Baidao, Xudur, ceelbarde,Dabane, ceelcaal and finaly reached Jawhar.
The whole somali pple was angred about this aggression and the oslam court and former TNG malitia as well all the somali Malatia mobilised around Balcad.
My question is is this the beginning of Jahad in somalia will Ethiopa lose this war and give up even Ogaden since this war will attract all somalis and unite them from Garisa to Djabuti.
Will the somali sees this as an aggression led by the American and the neocons in Bush's adminstration
Will this war unite Galool and beards

Very Big problem as the somalis are very emotionaly nationalistic characters, as the will react without thinking of the concicuanses
I dont know if you remember the abu dauud saga in 1970s the olympics
in munich.
Somalis of today have very large papulations in the west which has naturlized and citizens in the countries they reside, and muslims they are not going to be short of funds.
this is very lame move by the Bush Adminstration who encouraged the Ethiopians to invade somalia which America will pay a very costly price
that will make sept 11 a picnic.

I dont know if you know but Ethiopia has its own problems with ONLF OLF
which have a militery and financial support from Erteria.
The oroma are around 30 million and they are the majority in Ethiopia while Tigria is 4 million, also the majority of the Oroma are muslims, so if this war takes off as jihad Ethiopa will be history.

I know more about Ethiopia than I ever wanted to. The Oromo are about 60-40 Muslim Christian. Like the Somalis, they are fractured into competing clan factions. That is why, despite their numbers, the highlanders have always been able to control them. Religion is certainly not going to be a unifying force among them, since they aren't unified by religion. So the "Cry to Jihad" strategy won't work. In fact, as we see from Sheik Aweys, the cry to Jihad never works in East Africa. Real material and political interest trumps religious interest every time. Even that most powerful of East Africa Jihadist figures, Said Mohammed Abdulah Hassan was unable to unite the Somalis. Uniting all the Muslims there (or any other group for that matter) is not possible.
Furthermore, whle the Oromo constitute a plurality of the Ethiopian population they don't constitute a majority. Even when you add in Somali numbers (which are small - roughly 6%) you are still dealing with a minority vice all the other population groups. The current regime, in a pinch against the low-landers, can count on the Amhara, the Afar, the Tigre. And the Tigre control the money and have the weapons (which is eveything in warfare). The ONLF, AIAI-O, and OLF are FAR too small to challenge the government openly. They're not even trying. They are fighting an asymetric campaign because it is the only optoin open to them.
Don't get me wrong, I am not sympathetic to the Meles regime, but you need to make sure you don't allow emotion to taint your analysis. While a full blown civil war in Ethiopia is certainly possible. It is almost certain to lead to a disintegration of the state and vicious internecine conflict like we have seen in Somalia. If the Tigre can maintain control (with the Amharas) of the critical state infrastructure and maintain a functioning mlitary, then it would be a rough war indeed for the Oromo and Somali populations that foght the Ethiopian military.
In this case, it is my opinion that warfare is not the answer. It wll only further impoverish a desperately poor people.

impoverish a desprately poor pple
Thats the kind of metality i was refering to (WHAT ARE WE GOING TO LOSE).
The Goegraphy is well against the Ethipian army since they have to cover a large land of the orama and somalis in order for them to be inside somalia, the egyptians will be jubilant for this political blunder which is a sucide of the tigria ragime, which is not aware of the sentiment of the somali pple when it comes to xabasha.
By far this is the biggest mistake addis ababa adminstration has done and it will go down to history books by this title Malaze the last.
First heard for me. Interresting. Wonder what the Ethiopian Army objective is?
This was certainly NOT encouraged by the Bush administation, of that much I am positive.
and no, it will not lead to a ceding of the Ogaden. That is never going to happen.
