Why should the innocent suffer?

Post by metamorphosis »

Why should the people suffer endlessly? Somali doesn't really sit on gold or diamond but it does have enough natural resources to feed its people for a time long enough for us to think of other alternatives. It's really depressing to see the amount of a foreign powers is vexed on Somalia only to divide them apart and to delay them of an epiphany of nationalism. The economy, if worked on properly and intelligently, can really reverse this curse of constant famines. There's the agriculture sector of the economy which consists of the bananas, maze, beans and other crops. The banana is so abundant in SOmalia that it was the most exported element in somalia. The downside to farming is Somalia doesn't get much rain and a drought is always imminent, so these could cease as soon as one hits. Then there's the animal-livestock portion of the economy which consists of the camel, cattle and etc.. There's the fishing portion, some minerals, gas and petroleum in some regions and of course the five big ports. With all these present in our land do we really have an excuse for us to starve? Is there an excuse for famine? Why are we so deprived of our own resources? Why should the majority of the people rely on remittances from abroad? Maybe I should rephrase the question: Do we really deserve to have all these in our lands if we're not going to put them to use? I am sick and tired of children dying due to one drought! Imagine prolong period of droughts? I am also repulsed by the images of famines that's projected to the world. We're known as the famine part of the horn. The innocent suffer and die the most painful death possible while these power driven, qabiil motivated, corrupted, political porn stars engage in a meaningless pull and push political wars. I hope Somalia gets healed of this inshallah

In all honesty, I lost all hope for Somalia. So long as we have Somalis who indulge in less than reputable activities, like we see everyday and show pride in their ignorance, I will never have faith on Somalis. People who are so backwards that they even divide themselves on a forum are not human beings. I stopped caring for it and God help those miskiin caught in the middle.

Peace.

Yet, you can be found citing texts and oral histories during these ignorant and futile retorts. How do you reconcile your actions with this view?

if you cannot beat them join them? i agree but you can distance yourself from such ignorance which promotes an indeology a degree below primitive by campaigning for the inverse. I will die hopeful inshallah instead of giving these bastards the satisfaction of conformity.

I can take on ideas and things I hate to fit in or whatever reason I can find at those times. I am rarely honest on these forums and if I were forced to be honest, I would not be here. I know it seems crazy but that's how it is.

Why would you not be here, if you were forced to be honest? Or would an honest reaction of yours be you leaving?

That is exactly it, everything I hate about Somali society is here. Glorification of warlords, regionalism, tribalism, racism, just to name a few. I still wonder why I come sometimes.

You certainly hit the nail on the head, Metamorphosis.. There is no doubt that Allah, swt, blessed us, Somalis, with abundance of highly rich soil, and breathtakingly picturesque country that is the envy of most nations of the globe. But as very often is the case, every blessing has some elements of curse associated with it, and ours has always been, and remains to this day, for the most part, practically, devoid of any traces of human decency, and our country is, unfortunately, home to some of the lowest species of the zoological order of beings, and to boot, arguably, the stupidest bipeds that ever walked on the face of the earth. I know some of my fellow countrymen are not going to share my view on this, and that is quite alright, but, fellows, is it not high time we put to an end to this constant beating about the bush stuff and call spade a spade.. No sense in being in perpetual denial about our dire state of affairs.

Same here. I am not really the big qabiilist that some may think. I guess people just come here to waste their time.

What I don't understand is, if people genuinely do not feel and think the way they do online when rah-rahing about qabiil and warlords, then why fuel it? I don't understand. There are so many things people can sit and ponder on, rather than bicker about which region is attempting secession this week, or whatever.

Hold your horses sxb, I don't support or fight for any qabil or region. I merely take sides when "others" are discussing it.
