Who ever killed that Prof committed a crime against humanity. Even if he did convert to Christianity, where did his killers get the authority to carry out capital punishment? Surely this is something for the judges, courts, culima to settle not some former mooryaan turned religious zealot.

The tragedy of all is that the good Prof was addressing an area in urgent need. Somalia has one of the lowest literacy rates in the world and the education system has all but collapsed since the last Somali government. A patriotic Somali setps in to fill the void by building schools and libraries and he is rewared with death. I heard there was some doctor was killed in Gaalkacyo the other day.

Doctors, educators, anti-mine workers, aid workers are being killed, abducted or expelled left right and center. Do we need any more evidence that our enemies want to keep us stateless, hungry, backward and in constant strife?
