I originally believe you had a fundamental ideological difference but I am sensing a residue of a more personalized experience.

Indeed so if you are making the argument one's achievement in dugsi was proportional to their fear of the whip, one can't help but agree you might have been a stellar pupil but I must say living in a secular city and being held accountable by secular law is not directly proportional to your level of paranoia concerning Islamic law. There is a disconnect you see.

It started a few night ago. I imagine the whole world being taken over by an Islamist paramilitary group and I am apart of a persecuted minority of secular intellectuals hiding away in an attic, sorta like Anne Frank. It ends with a group of heavily armed and beturbaned Islamists discovering our hideway, and I wake up just before i am beheaded. Wallahi these radicals are terrorizing me even in my sleep, i don't know what to do. My only consolation is that I wake up to the most secular city in the country, alhamdulillah.
The transition is close to completion, super-salafi Ibn Khalif has burnt himself out and is now dangerously leaning towards secularism. A prediction I made many a months ago.grandpakhalif wrote:![]()
