I just looked at the map real hard and realized that Somalia stretches as far east as Tehran, and further out than almost all of Iran's Persian-inhabited zones!

Somalia stretches further east than all of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, Persia and about 90% of the middle east.

So if those countries are the middle east and the near-east....does that make Somalia a full-blown oriental region since they are all West of us?
