Are the Tuareg realted to Somali?

It just dawn upon me that the Tuareg could be related to the Somali people. If you look at their traditions, camel rearing, music, etc. they seem to share many things with the Somali. I have not come across anyone making a connection between the Somali and the Tuareg but it could be thats were the first Somalis came from before they traveled East.

I dont think so but its not only the Tuareg that bear resemblance. I've seen a lot of footage of the Toubou people with their clashes in Libya and some can pass for Somalis. I think it's a Sahel thing.

The Tuaregs and almost all the nomads (Darfurians, Chadians) of the Sahel regions are genetically related to somalis, rendiiles, Oromos, the Gabres, the Saakuy's the Boranas, The Caruusi, the Tigreys, are all related; they are Hamities and speak a variant of the cushitic language.

Their lifestyles are very similar too.

Gaddafi helped Southern Libya a lot, so it isn't a surprise they supported him.

Well the Tuaregs seem to be composed of Sub saharan Africans and Arabs and sometimes a racial mix, and their culture doesnt look Somali judging from the pictures you posted. The attire is Arab and camel rearing is common to Near Eastern people only re-inforcing their Arab.
Somalis and Tuaregs seem distant culturally and socially wise, but on the genetics side i dont think there too distant (not that it matters in terms closeness).
