True story this one somali kid 20 years old approached a Arab girl for marriage and the family refused (can't blame them no work and no school), anyhow so they did the deed and run away with each other. After many weeks the family accepted and guess what the family asked 90k for the mehr alone!!! Now how the hell is a 20 yr old going to pay for that? Thank God the sheikh was Somali and after many negotiation the mehr was reduced to 40k. Now imagine she didnt run away, properly ask for 150k.

So stop whining 30k doesn't seem so bad after all.

Ps sister be nice if u gonna ask for 30k to our brothers better ask 50k+ for ajanbis.

I take it you never Heard of Honour Killing Before. They would Kill a related person let alone a horner if he start messing around with the family Honour. Beside he is marrying into an arab family if he pays $40k he will get 10x that back in years to come from them, It's an investment.

90K for meher com'on xalimo u got to be exaggerating..i think up to 10k is ok anything more than that i look at it as reckless spending.
