Dude, this is my field of study... Anyways... apparently this move was being co-ordinated by ECOWAS soldiers and the former president's personel Red Barets(war halkeey ku dhuumanayee this whole time)...They were suppose to capture the airport so that the ECOWAS soldier could be deployed but it appears that the coup plotters have repelled that move...but its too soon to call..

How can ECOWAS struck a deal with the Junta earlier in the month and try to rescind it later. The last thing Mali needs is a civil war in the capital while barbaric acts happening in the north. If the military is properly disciplined they would do everything in their power to protect their institutions.

I know but I'm more interested in what's brewing in the North. The situation in the capital is just your typical
West African coup "soap drama", getting boring by the day. Bring in the ECOMOG aka Nigeria.
