Have they given any figures on potentially how much there is, or is it too early to say?

Barrels are in the "Bs", the green in da "Ts", if you get my drift.

abdi.ismail it is said the Block 26 has similar geology as Sab'atayn and Masila basins of Yemen which contain 9.8 billion barrels. It is early days to tell though.

Aren't you guys getting ahead of yourselves.
Remember all the formal deals it sign, are with the Somali government. Somaliland is not internationally recognized, which has many legal consequences. I can't say exactly what those legal consequences are, but those won't change unless Somaliland becomes recognized
Somaliland is tied to the waist with Somalia. And this has had many consequences on you guys.

It makes no difference. SDC is a corporation based in england. It is the same thing as BP based in UK trying to dig for oil. Natural resource deals are done with soverign governments not with corporations.
SDC which I wholeheartedly support wasn't meant for such things, more like investment, infrastructure, buisness deals. Yet in the end either Somaliland gets recognized or it accepts to be part of Somalia one form or another.
For the sake of the people of Somaliland, they must not be held in limbo indefinitely.
