Sleep paralysis

Post by Advo »

Last night I was having hard time sleeping cus of a minor stomach ache so after a while I left my bed to lay down on the couch, this has been my personal remedy since I was a kid. Anyways I ended up falling asleep but had a nightmare shortly after... again this is normal but what happen next was not. I opened my eyes around 3:10 am but could not move an inch, I saw a dark cloudy figure approaching me from the corner of the living room and I couldn't move or scream, the thing grabbed me by the chest and literally disappeared into me and I could feel myself getting heavy. I started reading the quraan in my head and thinking to myself that "jini baa igaley" and now I am going to be crazy. After few surahs I calmed myself down and went back to sleep.....again I woke up from another nightmare around 4:20 something a.m still unable to move or utter a sound, I looked around to see if anyone was standing over me but this time the figure was not there, an animal was across from me starring directly in my eyes.

You guys are thinking what in the world right?

well it's actually called " Sleep paralysis" which isnt uncommon to me but this was nothing like I ever experienced before, I had my eyes fully open aware of my surroundings, I could hear my brother going to the bathroom and I could see the clock sitting on the top shelve but I couldn't do anything except read quraan.

Anyone ever had a similar experience? :?

Sleep paralysis is genetic. If no one in your family has it, its unlikely you would.

It's harmless though. Don't worry about it.

You better be sure its sleep paralysis and not the jin.

My door sometimes is wide open when I wake up even though I locked it the night before. Now this is a case for concern :(

It is not unusual to have sleep difficulties during the summer months if you live in Northern USA, Canada and Northern Europe. I suggest you visit your doctor and ask him to send you to a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Clinic.

If you are having nightmares, it is probably due to stress or the result of an earlier trauma (you are likely to be a victim of depression).

Advo, if I recall correctly, this isn't the first time you've mentioned something like this.

advo if you not joking, and you actually experienced this, I can't lie It was probably a Jin, the way a Jin enters a human is exactly how you described it, some people see a bright light whiles others see a very dark fast moving shadow, and once it enters you it can stop you from moving, talking etc also it will make you hallucinate because it needs you to be scared of it in order for it to gain more power over you. You did the best you could do, read the Quraan and also try not to fear the Jin as you will only give it power over your body.

my advice to you is put on Quraan in your room, Baqara, do that everyday for a week, it is very likely that the Jin lives with you at the moment and enters you at night, so expel it from your room and it will not come back to haunt you.

some people have Jin in them for years before they notice abnormal patterns, at least you know whats up and you can do something about it, best of luck brother.

Lamagoodle, my mind has been intensely occupied with few things that didnt work out for me lately but I am not stressed or depressed, atleast I think.

Alpha, the thing is I have sleep paralysis often but I can tell what's going on and all I have to do is just calm down and breath however what happen last night was new to me, I never had my eyes open nor fully aware of the situation, it was like my nightmare projected itself into a physical form via sleep paralysis, I really didnt know what was reality and what was a dream, weird.

Fighter, no one in my family complains about it but u my friend has a bigger issue

install a camera sxb ASAP.

Adali thanx for the advice

You being unable to tell the difference between reality and dreaming may be due to being conscious in more than one plane existence.

Just a thought.

Nah, my bro and sis both said they had it before (more than once) but the rest of my siblings (including me, Alhamdulillah) never experienced it.

Advo, that sounds fucked up sxb...see a doctor, it's possible there's a scientific explanation

Bro I realized I wasn't dreaming because I could see and hear my brother, but out of the corner of my eye I also saw this horrible black shadowy thing I assumed was the devil himself

When I finally snapped out of it, I genuinely thought I was on the verge of a mental breakdown or something.
