Mohammed Morsi, won the country's first free presidential election but his powers are limited. the real leader is Mr Tantawi Soliman the Egyptian Field Marshal and statesman. Morsi's party Muslim Brotherhood denounces the dissolution of parliament as a coup against democracy. Morsi's role could be just symbolic. Can we compare him to queen Elizabeth?

Re: Egypt Mohammed Morsi
Like Rightwing said, the Muslim Brotherhood's elected member will be just a Symbol like the Queen of England. The president will not have any authority. Won't be able to control the Army or declare a war.The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, or SCAF, has granted itself a number of sweeping powers, including control of the budget and the army. But it repeated on Monday its pledge to hand over authority to a civilian government by the end of the month.

Re: Egypt Mohammed Morsi
The people will simply return to Tahrir, this will only bring about the demise of Tantawi & co.

Re: Egypt Mohammed Morsi
The military has ruled Egypt since 1952, do you really think they would let any civilian have real power? Esp someone from the Ikhwan when his party controlled the parliament?
