So many things come to my mind when I read your statement, namely irony and hypocrisy but if you actually wrote that without holding your own self accountable then you must be more dense than beetle dung.
You're kidding right? How does my situation have anything to do with hers? If you're implying that I am a refugee that transitted through eastern Europe to come to the west then your are very mistaken. I was born outside of Somalia in the late eighties and my parents didn't take a suicidal journey but were educated in the west and moved as economic migrants before the war. Meaning I'm here for an education and we, that is my family, expect to go back after I finish. The`Republic wrote:And you are posting from where?abdi.ismail wrote:Iyada halka iskeentay. Meanwhile Cibaado, let's call her that for now, ran from Mogadishu after her family were killed in a mortar attack by alshabab and either got Greece via the Red sea or Mediterranean, both incredibly dangerous routes and is now in a country full of people that consider her subhuman and thus treat her so. She will never make it to the more civilised parts of Europe and is caught in a limbo thus ruining her life. Compare that to a peaceful and dignified life in say Hargeisa or Boss where she would be able work and earn some measure of a living (however small) in her country without soldiers kicking her in the cawrah. But I'm guessing the stories of wonderful dole handouts and gov housing is just too good to pass up, even if it means to risk being shark food.
So spare me the lecture boy, I know somalis better than you ever will.
