Siilaanyo's fragile tactics threaten previous military gains

Post by Siciid85 »

So what was all the previous military gains in Buuhoodle district for if the troops will be pulled back? i hope this is not true as it has a potential to be a massive error on the part of Somaliland. What ensures them that Xaklotoosiye will bring Buhoodle completely under Somaliland control if some of those called demands are met? If Siilaanyo is tricked for example he will be the Neville Chamberlain of Somaliland, the English PM that got tricked by Hitler with a fake signature and in return England though there is peace while Hitler's Germany continued the war. After that episode he was replaced by Churchill who had a strong stance in foreign policy and did not appease others.

From Sool joogto back to Kalshaale. It's not that significant as far as retracting the forward positions of ours troops, but makes a significant gesture to Buhoodle residence of Somaliland's commitment to peace and stability. This is a good compromise and we'll take it.

It is not a good compromise if the local militias will still operate in the area allied to something other than Somaliland, that defeats the whole purpose of the JSL army's previous gains. We will see though if he can pull this off or not.

Yes but moving back to sooljoogto doesn't enable the khatumo militia anything. They have operated in the area before and will continue to do so until and when somaliland decides to rid these guys. It can either happen through large scale offensive or through peaceful channels. The latter is the what it looks like is going to happen as silaanyo adminstration has shown they are not willing to go full scale attack on buhoodle.

We will see sxb in the coming weeks or months inshallah. I don't think the Siilaanyo administration is naive enough to pull out the troops in the area without a backup plan if things backfire or don't go according to the plan, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Is not gonna work 50% of the militias in the SL side Buuhoodle district are armed clan militias. Im pretty shure they wont pull back an inch whether Siilaanyo tells them to pull back or not as those camels owned by these armed nomads graze as far as Hagoogane these days.

Somalistan inadeer, they are talking about pulling back to their positions prior the Kalshaale skirmishes. They now pulled back to Qorilugud, let me tell you as I hail from this particular region this decision pulling back to Qorilugud will result in armed nomads clashing once again as they have a freepass iminka, wether they are Dhulbahante or Solomadow. after 60 years of jacking camels and killing, I refuse to believe Xaglatoosiye is gonna make any difference.

The deal is already sealed though. The JSL army pulling back from the area will most likely result in the area becoming a safe haven for militias in that case the Solomadow also have a right to have their militia operate there.
