I, the undersigned Abdi Shire Jama’ “Ayar -Jael” hereby put forward a formal complaint against Nabadoon Hassan Elmi Jama’ who is one of the elders of Mareehaan, Wagardhac sub clan, with the task of selecting the members of parliament.
The above mentioned nabadoon (Clan elder) asked me a huge kick-back sum as a condition to support my candidacy for a parliamentary seat. His request included a construction of a house (villa) and buying a car for him as well as paying expenses for the treatment of a member of our clan (with ill-health) and currently competing for a parliamentary seat.
Following a meeting of the elders of Marehan clan of central Somalia regions which was attended by Ugaas Ahmed Barre Ali (Taakooy), Nabadoon Jama’-Shire Hashi Dhore and Nabadoon Hassan Elmi Jama’ – it was decided to put forward 6 candidates including me for consideration as members of the parliament.
Following this, on 07/08/12 I received an application form for parliamentary membership which I have duly completed and sent to Ugaas Ahmed Barre Ali (Taakooy).
However, within few hours of submitting the application I received a call from Nabadoon Hassan Elmi Jama’ who again came with his kick-back request of buying a car and construction of a villa for him. I responded to him that I am not willing to buy a parliamentary seat with a kick-back, and that I will not use corruption for what I consider is my right. He threatened that I will lose my candidacy unless I fulfil his requirements.
It is really unfortunate that while the whole world is eyeing on us especially regarding the recent corruption charges, that some individuals are still willing to go an extra mile to corrupt while others are doing everything they can to get this country out of the mess. I therefore humbly request the organisations and individuals to whom this letter is addressed to intervene in this matter and take an appropriate action against the above mentioned individual nabadoon and other similar ones. I am also requesting that a committee is appointed to investigate and make a decision about my candidacy in order to ensure that justice is done. Please note that I am happy to compete with any candidate from my clan provided that this is conducted free of corruption and in a fair and just manner.
I thank you for your consideration of my complaint.
The culture of impunity when it comes to corruption can only be broken when you are willing to call out your own "ina adeer" or "elder". Probs, this guy is not only an asset to us but also to the Somali parliament.
Cirwaaq, this is not Jooqle, but his literarian brother the one who put together the Qaylo-dhaan group Jooqle is part of.
This culture of corruption has to be tackled hard even if it means execution, if nobodies are asking for a house and a car, imagine what the known ones are demanding.

It's Jooqle brother. There are three of them, Cabdi Shire Jaamac Ciyaar-Jecel (Jooqle), Cabdi Shire Jaamac Ciyaar-Jecel (Qaylodhaan, one we are talking about), Xusseen Shire Jaamac. The first two Jooqle and Qaylo-dhaan were born to two different mothers on the same day and both named Cabdi.
His move against corruption has resulted in the Wagardhac sub-clan of Sade renouncing the right of that elder to represent them:
