i stayed up all night until I feel asleep ..... I wanted the black man ( Obama) too win so badly

wallahi I was so happy for the black americans

and when I woke up to the news that Obama won was more then happy .. I was calling friends and family .lol

All I did was what everyone else was doing. Hoppin on the bandwagon

Me and my dad went to vote EARLY in the morning and wallahi, the line to vote was nearly a mile long. Our state (Maryland) wasn't even a battleground state, it was going to go to Obama because it is a democratic state regardless.

Then after that, I got donuts and went to class. Then I came home and we all watched the news and then Obama quickly got to 270 and he won the election like at 11 PM when the final west coast states closed the polls

My mom was calling people and shid, everyone was excited for this Kenyatti to become president

I remember many Snetters (including fah, Ismahan, The-Screwe) who were very enthusiastic and positive about Obama. The viewed him like the Messiah who would save 99% of the problems. They contributed $$$ to his campaign and voted for him.

Probably I am the only person who believed he will go all the way to become the first ever black president (despite believing America is so racist) after I watched his speech about race in Philadelphia when the Jeremiah Wright thing came out.

To me that speech along with the speech he gave in Cairo University is something people will talk about 500 years from whenever the name "Obama" is uttered.

i wasnt expecting him to change foreign policy, i just didnt expect him to escalate Bush policies... that caught me off guard.

His domestic initiatives were average but his spineless character as the governor of the nation really made me disappointed. He did avert a Great Depression and saved a lot of people's jobs though.

but yes, we all hopped on the bandwagon
