Re: Amin Amir's predictions on the Presidential race
I hate to admit this but walaahi I also think it is going to be boon & nasab ticket.
Yusuf Garad joined politics and says he has many friends all over the world yet he is not running for president and that is why I think the few boon amongst us here in Somalinet will have a reason to celebrate soon.
My predictions nearly always end up correct.

He is not running for president but he has made it clear he wants to participate in the political process. And I have a feeling he is going to be the next prime minister.Executive wrote:Yusuf Garaad is running, but it not among the favorites.

Take it easy, the president will be a southerner, it's been decided long time ago. I don't know why we're acting like we don't know what's going to happen.xiinow wrote:We the people of south Somalia will not accept Farmaajo !![]()

Re: Amin Amir's predictions on the Presidential race
What the hell does Yusuf Garaad (who by the way is one of the 25 competitors) running have to do with this topic? People will try to be relevant no matter how irrelevant.

What would Yusuf Garaad or his clan bring to Somalia's table; two villages in Galgaduud? Thanks for telling us what you wish to happen.

Lol @ ticket; you know your place in society when your highest achievement is hoping to be second to Beesha Sade.

Re: Amin Amir's predictions on the Presidential race
The very delusional and even pitiful hope shown in this topic reminds me of this conversation between Djibouti President Ismail Cumar Geelle and US Ambassador to Ethiopia Danold Yamamoto.

DAS Yamamoto sought and
obtained President Guelleh's agreement to approach the Ayr
clan in Somalia with a view toward tamping down the
violence there and facilitating the reconciliation
process.Guelleh cautioned, however, that the Ayr had very
little real influence in Somalia, and derived much of its
authority from its affiliation with the Marehan. Guelleh
described Somalia as both complicated and simple, and the
warlords as "dangerous." He also said the warlords will
never accept a central government.
http://cables.mrkva.eu/cable.php?id=59691Guelleh responded that in his view, the Ayr do not
have much influence. They originate
from the poorest and most desolate region of Somalia and
derive much of their authority from their affiliation with
the Marehan. When Said Barre's regime collapsed, he
continued, the Ayr were targeted by the Hawiye and kept a
low profile. After Abdiqasim came to power, the Ayr
re-emerged and many became businessmen. Guelleh stated
that some Ayr are Islamists, such as Dahir Aweys, the head
of Al-Ittihad. Yet without the Marehan, the Ayr are
nothing and remain close to them. Still, Guelleh said, he
would be willing "to send some messages to them."

You probably read it from one of these unreliable Somali sites that he is among the candidates but I have never heard him declare his intention to run for president in all the interviews he gave since he joined the political process.

Lol @ the "Saleebaan" kid. Please go converse with your equals and I mean seriously. Teeda kale why act like Cayr have any sympathy for you? If the Saleebaan of Ximan and Ximan today said we make Guri-ceel the capital and we give the President and VP to Cayr but Marehan said Cayr come and be second to us in this maamul, the Cayr would most certainly go to Marehan. I love the forced love, go take it to someone who doesn't know you
