Controversy at my locale mosque.

Post by grandpakhalif »

Controversy happened at my locale mosque, basically after the Ishaa prayer our Imam allowed a man to speak on the issue of the slander against our Prophet (SAW). Basically this man told us how it is our duty to defend our Prophet (SAWS) and that we should not apologize for the killing of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Libya. He also said that we should be like Sultan Abdulhamid (The Sultan of the Osamaniyah Caliphate in 1889) who threatened France with jihad after a playwright wrote a play which dishonoured our beloved the Nabi.

Anyways after allowing this man to speak our Imam was infuriated, told us how we shouldn't generalize the kuffar and should condemn these killings. He also told us to remain patient and not express our anger in a violent manner.

Anyways the mosque erupted in outrage and many worshippers were divided.

What do you think?

The Imam is correct.

Destruction and killing gaalo en masse doesn't solve anything.

Look at how the Prophet (SAW) was dissed by the Meccans during his life and how he remained patient.

Jihad? The Ottomans? Please mate. Muslims can't do anything other than burn a few embassies here and there.

this guy is the imam.

I personally think the controversial man made some good points, he said that the absence of the Caliphate coupled with the anger of muslims led to these emotional outbursts of violence. He also said had there been a proper Caliphate the muslims wouldn't be so frustrated. I also found the Imam a bit too apolgetic and docile.

The Ambassador was not killed for the video that's a lie that the State Department has started to back away from. It was a planned attack well before the video was even mainstream.

Those are excuses. Muslims are individuals that need to behave like responsible adults. Burning the property of the state and the businesses of fellow Muslims will not change the minds of the gaalos.

Do they actually think that they love the Prophet (PBUH) more if they indiscriminately riot and kill. Manners is part of faith. You can not defend the Prophet's honor but disobeying his Sunnah.

Prophet (PBUH) said: “The believers with the most complete faith are those who have the best manners.” [ Sunan al-Tirmidhî (1162) and Sunan Abî Dâwûd (4682)]

  We should never reciprocate idiocy and insolence. If they've insulted our prophet; first question we need to ask ourselves is why? What made them do it? I am certain the prophet s.a.w didn't come to them in person and misbehaved with them. The insult isn't really towards the prophet for his dead, it's towards the religion he left behind and its followers. An attack on the prophet is an attack on Allah and as allah has said in surah Towbah, allah is enough to defend the prophet. God said defend the prophet and if you are unable to, I will. So to say fight against an insult on the prophet by killing is useless. The dead ambassador had nothing to do with this and killing him was wrong. Another point I want to raise is how does protesting in muslim countries really make a difference? in all those riots that resulted death and injuries, almost all of those were either muslim soldiers and muslim civilians. So what does starting a riot in pakistan really help with? The best method to counter this was to use sharciga maraynka.

I think its a no brainer.

The speaker was talking out of his as's, if he thinks that the killing of an innocent man (despite been an Americ'unt and infidel) is in anyway an Islamic act, or something that was just.

Ps...i can't stand stupid seef la'bood that try to insult our intelligence.

Imamka ba xaqqa leh, Sabr is part of our iman. The prophet wouldn't kill a person for the crime of another, the controversial man is behaving like hes remote controlled by the west.
