Farole has something that no other Puntland presidents has had: his tribe controls the capital Garowe. Thus, they give him their complete support. He stays in this safety bubble and rarely visits other parts of Puntland.

It will be very interesting to see what happens next. Will farole try and label Gen. Samater a criminal and try to bar him from Puntland? If so, how will Gen Samater's supporters react to this?

I think Farole knows that Gagaab and Gen. Samater are not Faarax Maxamuud Yusuf (Dooxajoog), and he will ignore them.
