Somaliland:Graves Tell No Tales
Many years of holocaust denial has came to an end as “ERAF”; announced the result of their findings. “ERAF” is made up of a group of forensic experts; they carried out fossil analysis for the last couple of months. They searched dozens of mass graves in Hargeisa, Berbera and Burco. They collected fossil samples. The results show children, women and elderly who were tied to together and shot discriminately. The news came as piece of good news to mothers who’s their loved ones disappeared and never turned up again. I have visited several families and quoted eyewitness accounts as the news got into the airwaves.
According to Somaliland genocide commission “nobody was safe” from a deliberate government campaign of terror. The government turned into killing machine. They say they have the names of 180,000 people killed or missing, they intends to give the UN Human Rights Council a dossier for investigation.
SHC has gathered testimony from Somalilanders who says husbands, sons and daughters have been forcibly abducted by government or pro-government forces.
They include Jamiila Nuur, a mother of five chidren, from a suburb ofHargeisa, whose 26-year-old son Ahmad Ibrahim disappeared in the summer of 1987. She said that the last time they saw he wanted to get married to his long term fiance
“We later found out that the Ahmeds personal pick up belongs to police officer in a nearby police headquarters.
The family made repeated attempts to get answers from the the security services but failed, she said, then one day someone answered and told them he had been killed in Daloodho and buried
“But we were not able to confirm this information,” she said. “We are certain whether he is killed or not and that is the worst. Jamila says I was worried as he failed to come over night, he would not have left us or his fiancé – who is expecting the happy day. We only wanted to know his fate.”
Hussein Qaalib, a 62-year-old Somalilander, was taken from his home in Idaacada after attempting to stop the confiscation of his household belongings and intrusion of security forces. He was never seen again.
“My brother was moved to more than one branch of intelligence cell in Hargeysa to another and he has not been released because of his refusal to sign a statement of remorse.” Mahamed said his brother had serious health problems but the family had been unable to take medication to him – he has since suffered a stroke, he said. According to insider sources. They considered him as a burden and he just disappeared on night.
Muuse Biihi, chairman of Kulmiye of Party, said Somalilanders are being “plucked off from the street by security forces and paramilitaries and they ‘disappeared’ into torture cells for a period starting from 1978 to 1989″.
“According to general Moorgan’”The regime was doing that for two reasons – to directly get rid of the rebels and activists, and to intimidate the society so that it won’t dare to oppose the regime”
According to Raqiya Abdillahi Omar, “Whether it is women buying groceries or farmers going out for water, nobody was safe. She said it was a deliberate strategy to “terrorize families and communities”. The number killed or missing will never be accounted.”The panic of not knowing whether your husband or child is alive breeds such fear that it silences dissent,” she said.
“The fate of each and every one of these people must be investigated and the perpetrators punished like Ali Samater.”“According to information given to me by eyewitnesses and holocaust survivors in villages across Somaliland, confirms there could be as many as 280,000 persons killed, maimed or disappeared.”People are being snatched at night, on the street and when no-one is looking.”
Muhammad Kahin, Kulmiye party vice chairman, said that although there are no precise figures, thousands of people have disappeared.
“The regime was doing that for two reasons – to directly get rid of the rebels and to intimidate the society so that it won’t oppose the regime,” he said.
Successive governments in Mogadishu had in the past strenuously denied reports of human rights abuses. But now it seems the truth has came into being when Samater got sentenced on allegations of human right abuses, killings and torture.
The UN, ARAB LEAGUE, IGAD, AFRICAN UNION and western governments failed in Somaliland. There are uncountable mass graves all over the country, but graves tell no tales.
The president elect “Hassan Sheikh Mahamud”; is an alien to what happened in Somaliland, he will need many books to read and numerous eye witness accounts to listen before talking about Somaliland’s issue.

some of the comments loool
AUN to all those Somalianders who died at the hands of the enemies.
180,000 Isaaqs lost their lives and non of them were Soldiers or armed. These were children, pregnant women and elderly why would anyone want to kill them why would a government kill it's own people?
To give you a perspective of what 180,000 lives means:
The population of:
- Bossasso = 160,000
- Gerowe = 100,000
- Kismayo = 95,000
- Baidowa = 100,000
It is like taking a Nerve agent and poisoning the complete population of one of those cities. Then
laughing about it and signing a victory song while still claiming SOMALIWEYN is MUQADIS.
When the murders were occurring Ogadeen, MJ, Marexaan and other daroods were negotiating how to divide the LAND after the genocide was completed. Ogadeen & Bartire relocated to take over Hargeysa, Majeerteen claimed BerBera and Dhulos wanted Burco.
Ethiopia was a friend and without Ethiopian HELP ISAAQ would be extinct today. The aim was to destroy ISAAQ but it is certain had they succeeded, DIR and HAWIYE and D&M would also be exterminated to CREATE the DAROOD STATE as DREAMED by the MAD MULLAH.
SOMALIWEYN = DAROOD STATE
Have no doubt without SOMALIWEYN DAROOD are divided into the Minorities of 4-sovereign COUNTRIES. SOmaliland, Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.
SOMALIWEYN only benefits DAROOD and nobody else. Excess of 180,000s Isaaq died to save 4-countries from destruction and the JOB is not complete yet!

Look here mr ^of my maternal clannish affiliation , whe you are a politician of my caliber , you should speak from a position of strenght first of all .
Strenght in political terms as far maturity is concerned is on our side , it's undeniable . With that said , nobody is going to be left behind God willing and certainly not my mother's .

Re: Somaliland:Graves Tell No Tales
this is insult to the jewish victims of the holocaust who went through hell in nazi concentration camp, let us not politicize the holocaust and downgrade its significance in human history by comparing to tribal wars in somalia
let us know when the carbon dating is done, I won`t be surprised if some of those bones are jurassic fossils
we can all pay corrupt third world forensic company to create data for us to support once blood libel in order to garner international aid for corruptive purposes...AFRICA am not surprised again
isaaq need to be educated about the horrors of the holocaust and they would not insult our intelligence by comparing drought victims to mass murder jewish victims

Re: Somaliland:Graves Tell No Tales
Holocaust, defintion :
Why are all the daarod in this place dumb ?
Because :
1/ they can't shut up
2/ they can't speak from a position of strenght
what we've got here is a holocaust and THE holocaust1. Great destruction resulting in the extensive loss of life, especially by fire.
2.
a. Holocaust The genocide of European Jews and others by the Nazis during World War II: "Israel emerged from the Holocaust and is defined in relation to that catastrophe" (Emanuel Litvinoff).
b. A massive slaughter: "an important document in the so-far sketchy annals of the Cambodian holocaust" (Rod Nordland).
3. A sacrificial offering that is consumed entirely by flames.
Why are all the daarod in this place dumb ?
Because :
1/ they can't shut up
2/ they can't speak from a position of strenght

Re: Somaliland:Graves Tell No Tales
sahangalbeed tribal warfare does not constitute as mechanised industrial ethnic cleansing known as "The holocaust" ( there "The" before holocaust because there was only one holocaust in history)
this is the holocaust

this is why isaaq died because of tribal warfare

this is the holocaust

this is why isaaq died because of tribal warfare
