I believe we should decouple ourselfs from african union just like europe decoupled itself from asia, even tho they share a continuous landmass

the world is moving towards regional blocks and we somalis can't afford to be a member of an organization that is dominated by bantu christians in the age of clash of civilizations

its easy to dominate east african economic community but its another thing dominating AU.

the legal mandate that africa will have in the near future is mind boggling we should examine it closely

discuss the strategic and cultural threat that the african union poses to the somali civilization

we should leave all the useless organizations like African Union and Arab league. Africa and Arabia is too big ,backward and violent for a union.

As a member of the AU you enjoy certain rights and priviledges that would have been otherwise deprived of your country. Question should be, what have you got to lose if you remain part of the Union..

The African union is a pretty useless organization because it has bantus in it nothing progressive comes from it Africa is still dependent on Europe and the west after more than 55 years of independence. The African union doesn't decide anything legally politically Economically they are just a deputy assistant youth club for the the European union not an equal Thats not all bantus have very small brains the whole idea of the African union organization was the idea of the Late King Haile sellesie. The Bantus wouldn't even come up with the idea if it wasn't for haile , as long as these useless black leaders are running around in Africa the AU organization is useless.

I cant believe we asking this question, we r one of the founders of AU and we are natural member of it, it is in efficient we r part of the problem.

What makes you an Arab?

I think we should definitely join the African Union, minus the open border clause, and shared currensy. Something along the line of what the UK is doing in regards to the European union. Africa is not mature or stable enough to create a regional currency just yet. But we should absolutely take advantage of African union markets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania etc.
