Caught my manager red-handed today

When I clocked out of work today I noticed that my clock-out stub said my total hours for the week was 6:30 when it actually should have been 8:30. Looks like my manager has been going back and editing hours to keep labor costs down. Idk whether I should create some kind of shit storm with human resources department or I should just talk to her about it personally because this was absolutely a shitty thing to do. Also, I doubt it was a mistake because a coworker who has worked with the company longer has told me that he suspected her of doing that. now I have to do extra work to inspect my hours just to make sure im being paid fairly. smh @ the greedy bastards in this world

I don't get it. You don't get paid the full hours you worked, or they report less hours to the feds?

Are you serious you could sue em for this. During my 13 years of work in America I've never had missing hours and I've worked in about 12 companies

I know this is extremely serious idk about me suing because I only lost a couple of hours but just imagine how long the manager has been doing this and how many people she has cheated.

I would suggest you to go to your HR deparment and report your boss. But before you do that, make a copy of your work timesheet before and afte he/she changes your work hours and show it to them.

My dear,
You DO NOT have to 'Caught my manager red-handed today' to figure this out, macaanto. All you have to do is-- when u get your paycheck --it will be accompanied by a pay stub which will detail the hours you worked, and other important info like the taxes deducted, etc et etc. Upon inspecting your pay stub, u can bring your issues with your manager if needed. Tell him, this is the hours u worked and this says I worked different hours. Do the math calculations and slap the sh@! out of him!
