Post by AbdiWahab252 »

Is practicing the law a halal profession ? Can a lawyer earn halal income from advocating for clients whom he/she knows is in the wrong ?

Jazakallah,

Since Somalis cheat, and lie to the government everyday, I think being lawyer is less dambi.

The suspects Legal representativein the court room such as Lawyers AND The Profession itself did not exist in 7th century, therefore you dont need to ask religios people or the religion itself wather lawyer is halal profession. No one can make up new innovations bicda and talk aboout things which did not exist when religion was born and claime this or that is halaal or haraam. and about shaqada lawyernimada in the the modern court syste its absolute neccessities Lawyers. if there is no someone who talks in the name of the suspect then you can not have free and fair justice system.

Doesn't matter. Sometimes lawyers take up cases fully knowing that they'll have to lie to win the case. For Example, I am your lawyer right? What if you molest a little child, and then you confess it to me because as your lawyer you know you can trust me. As a lawyer, I'd defend your pedophile ass eventho I know you've just molested a little child. Wouldn't that be dambi?

most of the time lawyers does not lie, if the suspect commited the crime lawyers they do explaine why the suspect commited the crime. child rapist can be mental sick person therefore the court should know about that. AND also alleged child rapist could be innocent too and police planted the false evidance against the allegged child rapist.. so lawyers should be there for everyone otherwise many innocent people will be convicted the crime they did not commit....
