He's one of the best. His family lived the house next to my grandmothers in new Hargeysa. His father sent him to the middle east so he could study abroad but instead he came back a couple of years later with a large bag full of small instruments and of course the Oud. From there he started his journey even though his family opposed the career path he had chosen.

No doubt, Cabdinaasir Macalin is one of the best kaban players ever.
