Ladies your point of view is requested

Post by crazyRasputin »

I'm on the last lap nd I'm diving head first into that life changing marrige life.

So the wedding negotiation has been on going walahi. Families already have spoken. I told her that in no circumstances will I have a wedding ceremony bc I had enough experience to know that's the cause of divorces. She was polite about it but requested that I b sympathetic to her wishes. I eventually told her that I'm only willing to hand her 5k dollars to do what the hell she would like to do it with it.

Now she told me that she saves around 200 a week inorder to supplement to the cost of her dream wedding. She's telling me that she will take care of her dress, jewelry, makeup and all the other miscellaneous stuff.

So my question is...am I wrong to stand my ground on my believes

The poor girl! I get your point but she is one of those girls who had a dream wedding in mind AND she's saving up. Let her have that. Its heartbreaking :-(

Walaal, it would've been worse if I mislead her, is it not right to tell her off the bat that this is what you should expect of me... Ive seen so many expensive weddings go down the sewage walaal and I wont go that path...Plus im trying to raise my family in a Islamic way, inshalah... I am taking her to turkey for our honeymoon though( We will stroll down the famous Sofia Hagi Mosque...We will shop at the famous Bazaar(ha gadato dahab hadey rabto)...Go on a ferry and take pics at the center of the where Europe meets Asia...And even visit the mountain where it is believed nabi Nuux's boat rests)

MashaaAllah that's lovely..
But I don't see anything wrong with her having a aroos.. Unless she wants a mixed one *which is understandable why you're against it*.. :|
But you did give her 5k and say she can do whatever she wants with it.. What if she has a aroos with it?
