Right now what i see is very small versions of 14-story buildings. But the question is will we ever witness a true Tall building?

Somali cities will never have skyscrapers. The headquarters of Hormuud, Telecom, Telesom and Dahabshiil are only 6-7 floors maximum.

Tall buildings will be built when they are economically viable, they aren't just built without purpose (unless it's Dubai). We should expect some nice multi-leveled hotels at first, but true tall buildings will come when corporations and multinationals take hold of Somalia. They will be the only ones with the funds to make such buildings, dubai merchants and hawala kingpins won't cut it. I wouldn't hold my breath though, maybe 8-10 years for a true tall building. 15-20 for a small skyline.

Tall building is not a big deal...But Somalia will prosper when they get peace, and Somalia will get peace when people like you(Umul Fitnah) are eradicated from Somalia...How long will it take..we don't know...If someone collects and posts all the threads and posts you posted in Somalinet all loaded with hate and clan bashing and isku dir...People will understand what I am talking about..you and your few cheer-leaders or maybe your other nicks...

Kan waaba neef caadi ah ka waran. How's it even possible to build tall buildings when you have 99 percent of the population under the the most abject conditions? Security should be top priority for Somalia. After that employment and education should follow and then tall buildings will come as unintended results.

Great. And if the rest of Ethiopia's population weren't in destitution and fleeing to places like Hargeisa or the Gulf Arab states, I would consider that an achievement, instead of the colossal waste of money it actually is.
