Construction of South Galkacyo Airstrip

MASHALLAH ! GAlmudug is making great progress in its infrastructure. The establishment of a South Galkacyo airstrip will give Galmudug more options in terms of infrastructure and political maneuvering to shut down the main Galkacyo airstrip if war breaks out in Galkacyo with the only other alternative airstrip being Garowe for Rer PL while Rer Galmudug have this new airstrip and also the Bandiradley airstrip.

The recent PL kangaroo court trial of a kidnapped Galmudug businessman has added to the tension in Galkacyo and his execution will spark a round of blood letting not seen since Nus-Qiyaamo (1991). I do admire Abdi Hassan Awale's strategic planning to overcome the transportation challenges and to stamp Galmudug's authority against its rivals.

Also under Halyeey Abdi Hassan Awale, the Hobyo port project has taken off. The first phase of construction is underway. The Hobyo regional headquarters have been completed and Abdi hassan Awale has moved to Hobyo. The first ships should be docking by the end of the summer. This in return will provide a much needed maritime gateway for Hiiraan, Galgaduud, Wardheer and Mudug.

AW, what are the rates gonna be like? If Sacad gets this done, than they need to make sure the port is economically viable. You don't wanna go the Berbera route where foreigners are given flat rate while non-tolka Somalis get charged the fock up.

Go bosaso route wherein you allow equal opportunity with a reasonable rate.
