Its in Puntlands interest to be part of Somalia. Imagine Puntland seceded today without the approval of the Somaliland government? An established federal government in South Somalia would probably consider it a temporary blessing until they can reassert control...this is provided that Somaliland just doesn't move in and annex the whole place in 48 hrs

And the only thing Abdullahi Yusuf did for Somalia was destroy the Capital city with Ethiopian mortar and troops, nothing special really.

I will support if Puntland gona leave the union, I believe it will be a great relief to New Somalia.

No. Puntland has no need of Somalia and Somalia has no need of Puntland. The best outcome for all is that we return to pre-colonial relations. Somalinimo is an outdated model built on false sentiments.

exactly. in the eyes of the international community puntland and somalia are synonymous. Any idea of secession would result in the UN/AU annexing the whole place.
