Qabiil has found it's way to Somali masjids -- the only place where we thought it would never reach.

Their administration.
The main sheikhs
The certain Somalis who come to pray
Guest speakers
Donation box proceeds only going to a specific part of Somalia
Rivalries with other local Somali mosques

This is a big issue in the Somali community that we have been ignoring or failed to see was happening under our nose

As Allah (swt) says in the quran, take what's good from people, and leave what's bad to them.
It just so happens most somali regions are equally poor, so donate as an act of worship.

Wow, I knew that there was segregation within Desi communities but didn't know this was common in Somali communities. In my city, there's only like one masjid that's dominated by Somalis, the rest are mixed.

Volunteers and workers as well!

Bariis, There is no such thing as a Somali mosque dominated by "Somalis" these days. They are known as the "X" mosque in private.

But Talo alle udaa's remarks are good

My local mosque used to be a lot bigger until a certain tribe from Puntland region split and took all their worshipers with them.
