More properties recovered successfully in Mogadishu
There is a quiet war being successfully waged by Marehan wallahi in Mogadishu on behalf of all other Darods and others who were forced to leave in early 90's and had their properties occupied.
Last night a distant aunt of mine (rer Cisman Siyaad) and good friend of my mom called the house from Mogadishu to detail how she had gotten some of her properties back and was pursuing others. Last time I knew she was here heaving tea with my mom!
Basically the lady owned extensive properties some in an area on Jazeera where Turks want to build and another in place which was occupied by Xiirey Qaasim (Murusade). Supposedly he collected 6, 000 a month in rent from the properties. In bothcases, one involving the UN wanting to rent the space and the other Turks trying to build there is a widely agreed to understanding by foreign investors that the validity and legitimacy of land HAS TO BE GUARANTEED through the government and the government has an office that is tasked with certifying this.
When the properties came up for certifying questions arose and one thing to another when the rer Siyaad lady was contacted all the way in Seattle because of being identified as the legal owner of the land. While there for the Turk issue, she also got into other lands of her especially the one Xiirey just owned de facto since 1992.
She also spoke of another lady (Habar Ciise) whom I met before from Columbus, Ohio who successfully got two properties she owned back one in Medina from Abgaal and another I forgot but from Sacad. Both of her properties were certified by the government after some local investors were denied use and after getting details used a rer Garaad man to track her down.
When I first posted that pic of some cousins rebuilding their property on Makka Al Mukaramaroad to rent it out to government/business families a year ago I couldn't imagine how fast things would change and become a legitimate and legal undertaking so fast.
I don't think they should ever look to Mogadishu but only a fool forgets what belongs to him.

Oh yeah the man the government and even the ICU relied to certify properties lives and resides in Addis Ababa. He is a Benaadiri guy and was the last Mogadishu local government secretary. He has with him records and land ownership of Mogadishu dating back over decades or so that he ran with to save the documents from destruction.

Most of our old Daarood neighbors who haven't sold their properties have now gotten them back. Just recently a family came and peacefully retrieved their property which is worth a small fortune near Lambar Afar opposite Banadir Secondary School.

Re: More properties recovered successfully in Mogadishu
We never lost our houses back in mogadishu.
My eedo looked after them and rented them out.
However, there is a farm that is occupied illegally.
For some reason, the family didn't go after the farm
since the fall of the government. Last i heard (week ago),
my eedo began the process to getting back that farm via the
government's rout.

By a dead man?
What a foul foul person you are to thread lies to this extent. As it was said before Xiirey Qassim (AUN) was one of the richest men in Somalia, he had no need to occupy anything, it's not like he was running out of houses to live in. Isku xishoow.

Re: More properties recovered successfully in Mogadishu
@Voltage - Xiireey Qaassim was my late mother's abti and someone we've always been in touch with, this is the first I'm hearing of him ever occupying someone's home. He was a wealthy man and had no reason to occupy anyone's home. This is slandering against a dead man and probably sensationalism by Somalis. He actually was displaced and lost his own home & several other properties during the Murusade vs Habargidir wars in the early 90s. And it wasn't for some time before he could recover any of it. Recovering properties is vital and a step in resorting a lot of these issues, but I have to correct you on this one, sxb.

Anarchist-
As you know, my family had a long standing personal friendship with Xiirey Qaasim as well as Warshada Bayl on my mom's side however the property was occupied by him since 1991 according to the individual who owned the property and is in Mogadishu now.
I did not say he lived there or even had "need" for it. It was war booty.

It is true many people have got their properties back. Some Mooryaans were squatting on a farm belonging to my family in Shabeelada Hoose, they were
were evicted.
I encourage other people to also get back their properties from Mooryaans ee xaraanta Ku nool, use what is yours wisely, invest the profits into
your tribal lands for development purposes.
