SourceIn a letter addressed to the AU and AMISOM, Somalia’s Foreign Ministry asked for the deployment of multinational AU force “given the political volatility of the situation in Kismayo and the incompetence shown by the AMISOM commander in the area that resulted in poor judgment.”
Somali Foreign Ministry asked the AU leadership for “the immediate deployment of AMISOM multinational force that will operate under the direct mandate of AMISOM and Command and Control of the Force Headquarters in Mogadishu.”
The Somalia government also asked AU to launch “an immediate independent inquiry of the incident” in Kismayo and called for the release of the Deputy Brigade Commander of Somalia Forces and any other officers from Somali National Force who are being detained by Kenyan forces.
This is a Somali government to be proud of.

For now at least. Any post civil war government that has the balls to stand up to any foreign government meddling in the internal politics of the nation demands the support of the Somali people.

There is nothing to laugh about. Kenya is, at the moment, more powerful than the Somali government so it does things that would otherwise not be allowed to happen on Somali soil. Unfortunately that means Kenya was able to shell and level entire neighborhoods in Kismaayo with heavy weaponry and kill hundreds of unarmed women and children. The Somali government is unable to remove Kenya by military force but it will utilize all the diplomatic tools available to it and put immense pressure on Kenya through the international community until it removes its forces from the country.
ps. That army general in question has already been released.

to be honest they are not doing enough, I am not blaming the whole government though, there are some members who are doing everything they can to dislodge the occupying KDF from Kismaayo.

Hassan Sheekh disappointed me, he should be taking a much more vocal stance. PM Saacid has done his part though.

I feared this when I created this topic but it looks like I spoke too soon. Someone delete this topic please for me. I am highly disappointed in Shirdoon now after this.
