It is far from sweet and tempting. Maybe he should not make assumptions.

I agree, The prophet once told umar ra "Be on this world as though you are a stranger, take your life for your death, your health before your sickness and your time before you have none" dO NOT LET THE JEWELS of this world blind you from your common goal. One man gave a parable to this world which went a man was in the jungle when he come across a lion he started running away from that lion untill he saw a well and thought he might climb down so that the lion won't catch him, while he was going down he saw a serpent with its mouth open waiting for him to fall he can't go back up because on top is the lion waiting for him to come back up and on the string there is two mice eating away on the rope, the man then sees a pot of honey in front of him and dips his finger in it and licks his fingers and forgets the predicament he was . The man narrating the story goes to tell what each symbol reffered to, the lion is death which is forever chasing you the serpent is the grave that all of us are bound to fall the two mouse one black the other white refers to the day and nitght always nibbling away at your life and the small pot of honey is the dunyaaa so dont let that pot of honey dellude you of the TRUE reality.

Another narration also states that while the prophet was walking they came past this mutilated little sheep, the prophet saw stopped his companions who where accompaning him and saaid who of you would buy this dead carcass for one dirhaam everyone was repulsed by it and rejected it he then says who wants this for free, everyone stood in silence however one sahabaa than spoke outt and said yaa rasullah how can we want something thats dead to us what use does it have for us... prophet s.aw said that piece of mutilated lax is like the world to Allah swt. So donot dwell to much on it. Work for the here after for surely it is better for you. For surely this world is nothing but a small speck of dirt in a gigantic ocean.
