Spelling mistakes, taking clan meetings as something national, posting pictures of past presidents of their clan or warlords on the side of the page, posting fake pictures, posting news that isn't news, being clan biased, posting flags, etc

Why is there no national news site?

Some Somalis came to the West and learned English later in life and haven't had the same opportunities as those of us that went to elementary school in the West to improve their English. So spelling mistakes shouldn't be considered to be that surprising. Somalis tend to be fond of drama and have a sense of humour that is a bit off, so posting things that are untrue entertains such people. As for the rest of the matters you brought up - most Somalis have an illness called qabilism. It is a dissociation from reality and leads one to overvalue meaningless details rather than looking at the bigger picture and focusing on practical matters. Therefore, you will find these individuals spending time arguing over what qabil is more inferior or superior than the other rather than putting their energy into more productive and beneficial activities that might benefit their people and nation (like mentorship programs, rehabilitation program for youth who've taken the wrong path, etc).
