Well, according to my sources-not stating it though just as info- the somali officials from the expected joint financial board will include a member from puntland not understood though how by a clan-wise within the federal government or just as a local government

The somalilands share is limited to the humanitarian funds, somaliland wasn't part of the conference but the world has responsibility towards its society in the face of somali extremism so they are balancing their commitment in the humanitarian assistance...this will fund their development projects. the donor community will directly transfer the funds to them through the UNDPs.



The somali local and central governments will get the funds through the joint financial board, for example each ministry has a budget so they have to come up each time with financial accounting and notifications to receive new amount. The funds will be sent through the central bank and the local UNPDs.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh has said that a joint financial board, including Somali officials and representatives from the donor community, will manage the funds pledged during the New Deal for Somalia conference in Brussels on Monday.

“The joint financial board will manage the nation’s (Somalia) economy in the most transparent manner,” remarked Mohamud. He added that donor countries and organizations are going to have a significant representation.

The Somali leader’s remarks comes after it was declared that a total of Euro 1.8bn ($2.4bn) was pledged by more than 70 countries and organisations that took part in the New Deal for Somalia conference.

President Mohamud underlined that the funds pledged will be equitably distributed to all regions of Somalia for rebuilding, recovery and development

I haven't read details on making special arrangement for somaliland, I got these details through may sources but like I said I'm not stating it. Btw there are different sections of funds.

Ninyow don't waste your time with these kind of so called sources because they are not obviously feeding you the right information.

Ok I have read it. I have seen the link before many time but I heard its too long so all my info was the especial arrangement part.

Now all I read in your link was about development, development, development so I don't think my source is wrong that the somaliland share falls under the humanitarian and development sector. I haven't read about the security, army, police, the closest thing I read was justice system like the courts, elections....

They are not officially recognized except in the road map, this puts them through so they will get their share but the govt has told them to unite quickly.

Security(army and police) is missing for the somaliland list

Sahal, Somaliland's part of the deal is mainly development oriented and it will be jointly managed by the Government of Somaliland and independent organisation called Somaliand Development Fund. Security sector is not emphasized in our deal because we have already consolidated it. One of the main goals of the deal is to strengthen Somaliland's institutions so it can access direct aid and budget supplement from international donors by 2015 while SFG is unlikely to reach this level of institutional development any time soon. Your part of the deal will emphasise security while ours will emphasise development that is why we have different packages.

The federal govt has too this development mechanism, the same source/al mowrid of your funds, this is called humanitarian and development sector, this is what my privous post was about.

You right on the development part, but your claim that funds will be directed to UNDP on behalf of Somaliland is bit misleading. Ta kale umaba baahnid source was kuu sheega sababtoo oh the real information is public wax qarsoon ba maaha, waxa lagu daabacay websiteka EU da.
