Visiting Three FAT GIRLS.

Post by Basra- »

I was bored. So I happened to decide visiting three Somalinet girls whom I find robust, rotund and fun. I began with knocking at Jasmine door. Several Knocks later- the door is opened and there stood the very sweet faced jasmine in her extra large pajamas. Her obesity is carefully hidden underneath that large exterior space and cover of pure cotton.

"Basra-- so nice to see you" She cried as she extended her chubby, fatty, postulating arms or limbs. She hugged me tight, as I took a moment to glaze at her living room, which was untidy and disgusting. Fast food packages every where, a very ugly cat--sitting on the corner of the kitchen entrance door, watching me and deciding whether to hurt me or not, depending if she perceives I am hurting her mama.

"Come in Basra-- have a sit down" she walked me through the trash and to her worn out sofa with comfy typical English mosaic clothes covered over it. I was skeptical to sit on the filth, so I gave a superficial respond as to why I cannot sit.

"NO, dear, i cannot sit. my girlfriends are waiting for me in the car. I have come to invite u to a wedding. Its a Habar Yonis wedding with an abgaal"

"Istaqfurulaah. An Abgaal aah>? What a mix? Who is the groom?" Jasmine asked as she started scratching her stomach and then her vagina."

"Ufff" I whispered to myself and then started walking towards the door as i was speaking of course.

"The wedding is between Geo and his reer abti bride. U know-- Geo is half abgaal right?"

"I thought Geo was Marehaan" Jasmine asked in a surprised tone as she followed me.

"Well, we really don't know what he is--last year he told us he is Xawadley, this year he is Habar Yonis, we just have to go by what he says. But for sure we know his reer abti are abgaal"

"I see. Still, what does one wear in a half population abgaal wedding? Asked the sweet faced fat girl.

"Well, you are representing Habar yonis, so i would expect u to wear a new, fashionable dhirac. (albeit an extra large one, in my whispering breath) I have fears bright yellow guunitinos will be rampant in the wedding. Just try to avoid being recorded in the camera next to these yahoos, and never allow a photo taken by one of them! " I answered as i almost stepped out of the door.

As we stepped out the door two other fat girls were coming in. Agent and Tuushi. Tuushi had a round fat head with very chubby cheeks, with large evil eyes that stare through your soul. While agent had a large square head with balding soft sri lanka hair. Her eyes were not so much evilish but depressed and in need of an electro shock machine. I felt sorry for Agent, as a fat woman who is balding it is not very conducive to a nature already prone to depression and low self esteem. Both did not greet me with affectionate pleasantry that i am used to. I guess they are not as sweet as Jasmine, even though they are much more mannered than jasmine in the arena of scratching thy self.

Both of the fat girls looked at me in disgust as i faked my excitement to see them. They passed by me and entered the home while myself and Jasmine stood there in awkward disbelief.

I decline a good bye hug and bid my host a distant wave Farewell. As i was walking away-- i could have sworn i heard a thunderous loud sounds emanating from the sweet chubby faced Jasmine, the sound, sounded like an oppressed farting/dhuuso. I walked quacking quick before the toxin air reached me.

Somalinet Daily newspaper review of 'Vising Three FAT GIRLS':

The self-aggrandizing first person narrative of the protagonist gives the reader an insight into the thought-patterns of a people belonging to a certain corner of the world. This dichotomous story is a well approached satire on qabil culture. 'Basra' whom is portrayed as the the classy and resilient women contrasts her peer 'Jasmine' who conversely is described as distasteful in appearance and behaviour. Despite their differences, one thing seems to unite them: qabil. Although Basra considers Jasmine's house as filthy, she still willingly took the time out of her day to make a visit and raise awareness of a wedding between spouses of different qabils which emphasizes the value it it holds to her.

In humorous and gripping fashion, Jasmine is shocked by the marriage and utters "Istaqfurulaah" which subtlety announces that such a union is blasphemous - this is a symbol of the blurring lines between religion and culture. However, the main character disregards this and further makes evident the satire of this story; that qabil is above all.

The offensive nature of Basra towards others reiterates her beliefs - that she dislikes people from opposing qabils and will in turn offend them in various ways, be it weight or appearance. Some would call this 'cuqdad' - however, this story presents it as a standard lifestyle and the prose tackles these underlying issues.

It is indeed a good read, however I would advise you do not buy the book as the author is the same person as the protagonist.

Wow. I am speechless hydro. :o  Bravo, not only did u review it competently, you went a step further by academically lit-psycho-analyze it. Your findings and conclusions were more than fair and sound, not to mention critically thinking, your language and pose of temperament was magnificent. The ONLY thing lacking in your entire review slash analytical assessment is--a deeper, more skillful brain that would have unmasked the authoress with clear precision. Basically, I am saying ,I wish your brain was as advanced as your talent for view "is" advancing. Mashaalaah-- mama is proud of u hydro!

hydro@loool

Do u read a lot of lit analyzed essays? I enjoy them tremendously. Nothing is more enjoyable than a classic novel, being critically analyzed by a professional. Its like u r learning about the book through the lens of the one criticizing voice and mind. I mean, the professionals who use 'mortifs' and 'symbolism' to critic a story, objectively and scientifically disabling the lines between! I get orgasm reading this critical essays. :dj:

PS hydro, please calm down, something tells me u r in clowd 9 right now.
