It is owned by him. His wealth is self made although his father also had many properties in the south.

Typical shitty Somali architecture. I heard that nobody goes there and that it's struggling to break even lately. They even speak of Siilanyo and wasiirka xinka iyo xasiidka conspiring against them.

How can it struggle, it is a multi million hotel where most UN staff in Hargeisa stay in, not to mention regular diaspora visitors to Hargeisa
around the clock and events whether it is political events or weddings. Some of their rooms are at $78 per night. Nobody cares for Siilaanyo,
a lot of Garhajis use this hotel to hold high level political events whether it is WADANI party or UCID. We support Garhajis businesses

.
The fact it expanded from one hotel in early 2002 to several several hotels and smaller buildings in 2013 to accommodate the growing visitors
shows it succeeded. On the other hand Mansoor is the same crap hotel that looks like a underground prison with nothing new, so I understand
where the envy is coming from.

I think the hotel's due for some renovations. Everything looked a bit outdated when I last visited. Their food is soooo bomb though

My cousin recently came back from there to the UAE , when he was in Hargeisa he stayed at one of the deluxe rooms with free wifi in Ambassador Hotel
($52 per night).

That's a good deal, I remember Maansoor was charging $5 for their wifi. I guess they've updated their hotel recently

He received a grant for a community project in Sheffield. He used that money to start the hotel as well as collecting money from the locals. The whole community chipped in including my family.

Separate charge for the wifi? What a scam. Will definitely not go to Mansoor if I visit Hargeisa, will check out Ambassador and other hotels though.

Ambassador is too expensive. there are tens of other hotels in hargeysa which costs only 10 $ per night. why should i go to ambassador and pay 80$ per night when i can other hotels which are much cheaper...
