I envy secularists who can enjoy their lives openly
Ironically I come from a family of faith. My dad and mom are very religious. So religious I had to watch tame TV shows like The Simpsons in secret when they werent around. So religious they wake me up for Fajr prayer to this day. So religious that the sound of any music, even in commercials, makes them very angry and demand it be turned off.
I have always envied secular families. The ones who drink beer on the patio. The ones who BBQ at the beach. Festive holidays like New Years. I envy not living the gaalo lifestyle openly
23 years living something I am not. I do it out of love to not give my old aged parents a heart attack. Of course I do my gaalo activities outside the house but sometimes I want to do it in my home like the other secular families
I want to drink a cold Heineken in my backyard with my buddies but I can't with hoyoo watching from the window
I'd move but I'm the only able bodied adult child in the household. I must be there. Parents come before my itching of the gaalo open lifestyle.
Its so tempting. But I am oppressed. I feel like I am in the Pashtun rural lands of Afghanistan

There is no such thing as secularism in islam. What you are describing is immoral, deviant etc... And hence unislamic. Join xplaya and come out of the closest already.

I have always maintained and have been quite vocal of my agnostic and secular beliefs. I've never made it a secret

How about those who are gay and openly out of the closet?

you just need to sit down with out distraction and think about your emptiness. no amount of distractions of life style you craving will fill you.
i know a thing or two about troubled youth like your. they make excuses left and right blame every one, from parents to environments, religion etc. nothing to do with external , its all internal. look inside you deeply and better where's no noses.

I don't think it's a troll, it's always those that preach what they don't practice.

I don't care for your state of mind or emotions
But the the concern you have for your parents and your devotion to them is admirable
