If your home was burning
And you had three options, who are tripped in three different parts of the house where the fire has rapidly taken over. Out of the three individuals listed below who would you rescue and why ?

1. Your mother
2. Wife/husband

Tough options. I think I'll save my mother because of the saying: الجنه تحت اقدام الامهات.

Horrible situation to be in. I would rescue my mum and then make another attempt to rescue the remaining (its better I die with them if the attempt goes unsuccesful)

Re: If your home was burning
Mother and wife probably wouldn't allow you to forsake the infant for them so you wouldn't have a choice but to rescue the infant

My mother
Why? 50% divorce rates means wives come and go and infants would not experience as much trauma than adults. And because I love mama more

Re: If your home was burning
If it's a trick question my answer would be get the husband out so he can save the kid while I get my mum. However if it's one or nothing I'd say hooyo. That said I can't imagine not running to the kids aan habar yar u ahay let alone my own kids.

They're probably all dead of asphyxiation, number one killer in fires.
Otherwise I don't know I more of a reactor, instinctual in those situations.

Geo,
thats a good point, a grandmother loves her grandchild more than her life and the same goes for the mother of the child.Therefore, they wouldn't allow to be rescued first whilst the baby is in the burning house.

Mom= My ticket to paradise
Infant= If he/she dies...it's also my ticket to paradise. A child who dies will hold on to his parents till Allah permits all of them to Paradise.
Husband= He will understand.

Most mothers will think of their babies first, it's just the way they are made, the bond is that strong.
