The new FM is a close ally of the somali pm, this is a big development, unlike of the ex pm, the new pm will have access to the world!
Dam jadid are not controlling the interior ministry. However, though having a separate offices, both the interior and the constitutional affaires have close agendas and may clash with eachother.
The new interior may be is there to halt their agenda. This guy has been a wakil/representative of 40 mps most of them are not from xamar and was promised a post during the conflict with the ex pm but he may got his current post bc of the pm being againist abdikarim guleed to hold it and taking advantage of the presidents weak point, the pm may expected that he may come up with another person who is not dam jadid and keep guleed in another post. on the other hand, I heard that the new interior was the only politician who was told not just that he will have a post but also that he will have the post he currently holds!
I still need more time to find the truth behind this guy and whether the president himself was planning this for a long time!
Having said that, I expect him to join the pms crew when a political storm takes place probably in the upcoming year for political reasons because of a potential clashes with farah abdulqadir-guleed has been removed from this department- so like the arabs say izaa habat al riyah fagtanimha/when the winds blows ride it the new interior to keep himself in business/politics, he is likely to enter an alliance with the pms crew.
The new pm has some dam jadid friends like his deputy ridwaan hirsi the minister of religious affaires, this means two things; the probability of dam jadid splitting or them and the new pm strategically working together though I believe they can't due to the presidents interventions and the new pms professional personality
There are a lot of dam jadid cabinets but politically these two posts are more important and who wins will win the battle.
