Re: Sleep paralysis
I don't agree with the term sleep paralysis because the thing happened to me after i woke up i just couldn't move whatsoever, or breath.
Warsheikh did you experience something like this?

my wife was attacked by this very dark figure that was angular in shape and kept just out of sight in her peripheral vision, the classic cases of holding the person down
feeling heavy and unable to move.
she read as many suras as she could and ayat al kursa and it kept getting angry and started dragging her from the bed by pulling at her feet.
suddenly she wakes up and its gone.
the whole time she could see me and i was next to her fast asleep.
ive experienced something similiar but less intense, sleep paralysis and the sense of something moving in the corner of my eye, but i have strange reaction to fear and terror.
for me its probably a personallity disorder but extreme fear and distress turns into rage bordering on bloodlust.
all i could think of was that i wanted to catch this creature and do nasty things to it.
it left me suddenly.
weeks later i dreamed that my bladder was full and i walked to the toilet to pee, as i usually do i never turn on any lights , even the toilet light as i dont want to wake anyone up
especially the baby and i am confortable in the dark and i have good night vision.
as i enter the bathroom, the same creature from earlier attacks me from the side, i could see it clearer this time and we struggle.
its very strong but small about the size of a 7 year old boy, skinny limbs, black and glossy almost plastic skin and big eyes.
last thing i remeber was satisfaction as i bite chunk of it, i taste it and i cant describe the taste, spicy yet chemically , its screaming in pain and struggling to get away while i hold on to it. this is the last thing i remember as i wake up and i hear the adaan for fajr.

Re: Sleep paralysis
Sleep paralysis doesn't have to do with some external forces, it's a temporary neurological condition. It's going away in a sec.

Re: Sleep paralysis
Same thing happened to me, I was about to wake up in my bed when I couldn't move a single inch. I couldn't open my eyes too and suddenly I heard some evil laughing and I was terrified so I read ayat-al-kursi and as soon as i started reciting it it went. This was when I was about 13 years old. Its not a simple neurological condition, it only happens if you sleep on your stomach.

Re: Sleep paralysis
u ALWAYS come to somalinet and make "sleep paralysis" threads, under various user names of course. Walaahi, boy u need to lose weight, otherwise, one of these days, it wont be a 'sleep paralysis' but a permanent sleep.

Re: Sleep paralysis
Happens to me too sometimes. I don't see jins or anything crazy but I do experience numbness, immobility and not being able to utter a single word despite trying my best. The first time this had happened, I freaked out. I thought it was my time. I read the shahada and ayatul kursi in my head. I no longer freak out. I ignore it now and continue with my sleep and sometimes don't even recollect it afterwards.
I am certain my house is shared tho. There is no doubt about that because I wake up late sometimes and I can hear all kinds of noises in the kitchen. Sometimes even running water tabs and other strange shit.

Re: Sleep paralysis
Happens to me every single time I sleep on my back. According to a friend of mine, falling into sleep paralysis on your back means that you're being mounted (sexually) by a female Jinn. Not sure whether or not that's true, but if it is, it's quite selfish on the female jinns part because I've never experienced any pleasure
