I am Conflicted whether to read his book.

Yeah, very frequent conflicting nowadays huh? :stylin: OK, I want to read one of Cambridge brilliant Professor-- Simon Schama--a Capital Jew new book: A Story of the Jews. I have watched countless of his YOUTUBE Documentary. Very brilliant man, but very pro Jew too. So I am kinda turned off, in one respect-- I respect his Genius, but on another respect-- I cant stand his Zionist, albeit Academically presented pro Jew-ism. What should I do? Should I read it or not? :eat:

No, dear. First of all, relax. :stylin: Second of all, I have no problem if he loves his people, but I do have a problem when a seemingly influential professor--goes on to live TV and says-- "We should understand the Jews Point of View" on bombing Lebanon. That statement Is kinda uncalled for, especially for an educated person like him. :dj:

What he did shows he is a noble patriotic man! he used his power and influence to strengthen his people and nation by going on TV and try to influence the viewers I Tanker had done the same if I ever got the chance to be on international TV and try to explain the viewers about the Somali-Ethiopian conflict I will had tried to present the Somalis as innocent victims who is fighting for their freedom while I had done much to present Ethiopia has an evil Empire. He only did his duty, there is nothing called objective opinions in this world of never ending struggle, all western media presents the view of the white race, the Jews are doing the same, the Arab media are presenting their case, the same with the Asian media, everyone in this world has an agenda and are promoting their own kind.

:clap: U r absolutely right Tanker. Every one is promoting their own kind. In fact, Schama is more atheist than a jew. But he does have a strong sense of loyalty to the jew people. Just like u--a non muslim yet very loyal to the name of Somaliniimo. In that case-- I can say, he is tolerable. So, maybe I will read it. :dj:

If it interests you in the least, read it. Even if you disagree with the core, there's always something to gain from the other perspective. Reading is never a waste :up:

Basra the man doesn't need anything from you he has everything you are the one who is going to gain something by reading his book

Most of the 6 million Jews who were gassed to death were assimilated Europeans who were enjoying a secular life..... race is everything in this world.

U r absolutely right. I will read it on the basis knowledge that Schama really isn't an orthodox jew but a secular one who defends his people not his religion. And u r right - no waste in reading. Geo-- u r soooo cute. :clap:

When I read a book---- I don't think in the terms of ---Does the author care or not? I read-- on the basis of principals. Do I respect the author? Do I respect the authors opinions? I never read a book gain anything also. :dj: I read to observe and conclude my own informed opinions. At the end of the day, I answer to myself. Me, Myself and Irene. :stylin:

U r right, race is important in this world. So is Qabil in Somalia. Its a fact.

They may very well be the most intelligent race. I mean, it is also state in Quran right? The parable where The two sons of Abraham, one arab, the other a jew, and the arab son being the favorite of the Abraham, and jew sons mother tricked the blind Abraham-- and thereby Abraham blessed the jew son with brains and the arab son came only too late and was blessed with earthly jewels which ended up being oil. :stylin:
