Somali ex President threatened to cut off his daughter

I have learned recently of a former Somali president (I will not reveal who or level of govt) who threatened to cut off his daughter if she went ahead with marrying a guy from my city. She was from a different country. It was a long distance relationship.
The reason was over qabiil. They came from "rival" clans and the ex Somali President didn't want his daughter marrying him
Months of convincing this ex President didn't work. The marriage was cancelled. It wasnt going to be a big fancy mixed wedding since they are religious but still, airline tickets were bought for a honeymoon, money wasted.
A loving couple confused as to what is going on.. it's a shame people still think like this

Beenta jooji your story has nothing to do with a former president. I mean which former president resides in Ottawa?

Somali President doesnt only include TFG/SFG. It includes all types, including federal states to different countries like Djibouti, etc
Farhan I said the guy does. The girl and her father live in a totally different country.

I was going to say name and shame but we have very little confidence in our leaders as it is, perhaps ignorance is bliss in this case.
