Dhulbahante and Isaaq locals + diaspora= Ignorant Extreme Tribalists.

These clan do not hate each other by at all, though there are grievances, the dispute is political. Both clans can/do travel freely and reside in both clan respective lands, intermarry etc. Its not that serious, Somali culture is beautiful.

Unfortunately, clan politics/interests influences both clans current position, which at this point are incompatible.

Trust me if the tables were turned, you guys would be upset.

The Somaliland border which is seen as sacrosanct by a majority of Isaaqs is not recognized, by not only the majority of Dhulbahante and Warsangeli, but by other Somalis and the rest of the world. The international community's stance on the issue is self-explanatory. Unionists that reside there have a right to voice their opinion. While Somaliland's supporters have a right to self-determination.

Lets not be hypocritical and pass of grievance as sheer hate and jealousy, they are substantial, the truth is one clan is substantially larger, controls a government/money/guns.

With all due respect the Qurba-joog seems sadly out of touch than the local with the reality. Yes there are grievances, injustice and many other issues that need to be addressed but what I see in evry demonstration are false accusations and wishing rape and genocide to occur own people to achieve political goals that what is use to be Somalia will go back like before. I hope soon or later the smokescreen would be clears, time would be more honest and our people go on moving without the slightest twinge.
