Cancer seems to be a disease that cant be cured. But do u think secret cure for cancer exist but because of powerful interest its not allowed to be brought forward. I dont usually believe in consiracy theories but i dont believe human scientists have not found the weakness of the cancer cells

Cancer is actually the name of many diseases; the only similarity is cell growth. Various wars have been waged on it only to be lost. Hopes have been raised but dashed. Except for leukemia (in particular child leukemia) mortality is on the same level as the 1960s. The most important medical breakthrough happened in the begining of the 20th century. There have been some success though; detection,diagnosis and prevention. These strides, however, does not mean that mortality has increased.

There are three strategies once it is detected depending on the location and kind of cancer;
a) surgery
b) Chemo
c) Radiation

a) has been practised for many centuries
b and c from the early/middle 19th century. Both these options have side effects which paradoxically could enhance growth or kill the patient.


Nowadays, scientists are talking about cocktail drugs. Although promising, there is little to show for success.

The best strategy is prevention; vaccination e.g. HPV virus, Hep virus and early detection is good.

Cancer is becoming the number one killer of somalis in the UK and North America according to a study that I read awhile back. Breast cancer, liver cancer (due to high rate of hep C virus) and intestinal cancers are the most common.

We cannot talk about an effective cure! We are not there yet. Chemo is therapeutic drug not a cure; it has some some effects but we still don't know if it has contributed to lowering mortality.

There are some other drugs that are promising .

Killing cancer cells is one thing but providing a cure is another. Dichloroacetate is not ra adical drug and its application on a grand scale has not yielded the expected results.
