I was thinking about buying farmland in Lower Juba at some point in the future.
So I looked at the scientific literature on which area is most fertile and best for agriculture.
This what a paper I read said:

The best and most fertile land in Juba valley is between Fanoole and Yoontey

Here is Yoontey:

How much would it cost to buy this land??

Most people that farm there do it to feed their families and sell the little surplus in their small tuulo/villages.

In order to increase farming production there has to be:

1. farmig tools, and equipment

2. Transportation

3. profitable market

Lower juba has none of that right now compared to the shabelle region which has all I mentioned market, transportation, roads etc.

From looking at how things are going right now everything could change in the coming years.

keep in mind that the shebelle is much less fertile than the Juba. The Juba is three times larger and has more potential for large scale export.

How much do you think land near Yoontoy costs?
Who lives in that area??

Yontooy is right next to Gobweyn check the history of the place but you will find large amount of yam yam and qadaad weyn like Cawrmale and Bantu.

The best area is in Mareerey where the government built factories and large plantations like sugar.
