I noticed that I try to keep my relations with my neighbours as limited as possible, hi and bye terms calashaan..ofcourse in my old area where I spent years of my childhood I had great friends ans frequenting each others houses was common...my new neighbours are mostly middle aged white folk and young city workers..I just find their lifestyle very 'unhomely' like you can tell waa meel xata salaad weligeed aan lagu tukan...atleast with Somalis you feel comfortable and at ease...

My neighbors wa Bosnian. Best neighbors we've ever had in our time living in the states. The guy's Hoyo went to xaajka and when she came back she brought me cimamad caadi ahayn this moron barrowed it from and never returned it back.

We Finna move soon and I don't think we will have better neighbors than this family again.

I just say hi/bye/nice weather. Keeps it at a bare minimum.

I'm pretty close with most of them...
At the start of every Ramadan two of our non Muslim neighbours give us gifts. In return we make them sambuusa, kaka etc twice a week.

Also, when ever they have parties, weddings they invite us.

Most of my neighbors are Somali and Arabs. I'm friendly with the folks in my age group Lakin islamaha I just say "aslamu Alaikum eedo" then duck.

Nope, not even. There's one guy I greet occasionally and I'm not even sure where his apartment is.

But I know all of the neighbors from where I grew up, some are like family to me
