2 things can save our trees, planting new trees and buying electronic cookers. the government says no tax on electronic cookers so why not buy one instead of wasting your money on illegal charcoal.

Electronic is definitely easier and better for the enviornment, but it adds electricity cost, which a lot of families just don't have the extra funds for. Charcoal is more economical and no stress on the mothers when they have to have something cooking for longer periods of time.

since all somaliland cities has 1 or 2 electricity companies each, they can go green and buy heavy wind turbines and solar panels, at the other hand the government should get funds for the ethio-somaliland electric power line. thats how we can reduce the cost of somaliland electricity.
i am very optimistic that cities like borama ,hargeisa and gebiley will have very cheap electricty in few years time. we must also use garnwaa charcoal instead of cutting other valuable trees.
