I can't stand anymore of this..

For those of you who call our ancestors pagan savages you need to go shoot yourselves in the foot you ignorant asses.

Somalis had a well organised religion and used to worship one God named Waaq and they also had their own theories on how the universe works.

They had customs that were ahead of that time and were very social in the sense that they used to trade with people from India and Far east countries.

Let us also not forget during this time the arabs were burying their daughters and sacrificing each other for their gods. They had no civilization and were just enclothed in moral decay

It's such a shame this religion was completely erased from us. I think it was one of the first non-abrahamic religion which was monotheistic . It was different from the other major religions and was very unique.

So before you pull out your unethical, untrue and illogical opinions about our ancestors and before you start shooting them down and degrading their beliefs while you praise and foam over a foreign one,..

Educate yourselves

I already knew this, that Somalis were monotheistic to an extent, however they had some funny-strange beliefs, The equilibrium of the Universe in Somali mythology was tied with the love between a bull and a cow. The Universe was said to balance itself on the horns of a bull, a beast forever staring at the cow tied to a pole in front of him. Whenever his love turned her eyes away from the bull, it would result in a physical shift that caused natural disasters on Earth

well that is still very impressive.

and it promotes love

so it wasn't bad at all

plus the greeks had their own mythology and explanation of the universe.

the mayans and egyptians also

hindus and ancient chinese all had complex and different ways of explaining the universe

from what've read they weren't doing any blood rituals or sacrifices so they were more advanced than the africans and arabs
