Oppenheimer developed the first nuclear weapons

He killed millions and will kill even more millions when the ievitable nuclear holocaust comes between north korea, china and USA and look how he spent his final years, on a fuuckin beach hahaha, though i like the little part where " His funeral was attended by many of his scientific, political, and military associates. " talk about the military-industrial and science complex of mass murder!

Final years

Oppenheimer Beach, in St John, U.S. Virgin Islands.After the 1954 Security hearings, Oppenheimer is reported to have been "like a wounded animal", and he started to retreat to a simpler life. In 1957, he purchased a piece of land on Gibney Beach in the island of St John in the Virgin Islands. He built a spartan vacation home on the beach, where he would spend holidays, usually months at a time, with his wife Kitty. Oppenheimer also spent a considerable amount of time sailing with his wife. Upon their death, the property was inherited by their daughter Toni, who then left it to "the people of St. John for a public park and recreation area." Today, the Virgin Islands Government created a Community Center there, which can be rented out. The beach is colloquially known to this day as "Oppenheimer Beach" .

Robert Oppenheimer died of throat cancer in 1967. His funeral was attended by many of his scientific, political, and military associates. His ashes were spread over the Virgin Islands.

He HELPEd..he was the LEAD...what is wrong with that statement!

Do you any have brain cells left in that big skull of yours? I guess not.

Leaders in any event always get the glory in this case YES HE DEVELOPED the bomb just because he was the lead scientist.

Oppenheimer was a great scientist! MM is right, the A-bomb would have been built with or without him. BTW, the Manhattan project involved hundreds of workers and scientists, some as highly regarded as Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer or no opphmr....For me A.Q. Khan is a very great scientist that i admire!!!!

The world needs some balance, not nukes controlled by freaks of course...regardless of their religion...but some sort of a balance YES.

You cant have Isreal posses 200 nukes and have no one in the mid-east have none....not logic not fair and certainly not acceptable.

dhuuse deer youve been reading too material by Daniel pipes and his ilk.
Look at pakistan and how it behaves, possesion of nuclear weapons
saved it from disintegration.
It equalized its position with India allowing the ruling class to relax and
become open.

Same with Iran, nuclear weapons are its destiny and it wont stop until it does.

Egypt too is clandestnly in the race, 75% of Iraqs nuclear and missle
scientists are Egyptians, on Loan from the government.

No Gurey25, my fears are well founded. The reason we don't have to worry about Pakistan is the Islamist DON'T run the country. Mostly US and British trained and educated military brass are in charge of all the nuclear weapons. I'm comfortable with professional military personal in charge of nuclear weapons even if they happen to be muslims. Cause the a military man knows the full horrors of nuclear weapons better then untrained, unequalified imam.

The alternative to musharaf in Pakistan is the religious fanatics. I'm for musharaf or sensible, reasonable civil government.

In Iran, I agree with you in tote. The mulahs are FAR more reasonable and rational then most ppl give them credit for. How many nations have they invaded? None. And the alternative to them is the reform movement, more reasonable punch of ppl.

But in Egypt I disagree with you totally. Cause if Mubark is toppled, who is waiting in the wings to replace him? Muslim Brotherhood fanatics.

exactly!, Iran does not live up to its Islamist expectations.
for example they helped christian Armenians against the Azeris during the
Nagorno karabakh war.
They are surrounded by enemies and are interested in securing themselves.

Egypt is stable..
The muslimbrother hood have been defanged and tamed.
The Egyptians massacred them.
Egypt is as much a millitary establishment as pakistan.
Mubarak will be replaced by another general.

your are a simpleton. The War in Iraq was not about Saddam or even reshaping the middle east for israel although secondary by products, BUT was really about China in the next 50 years.
China has already started importing oil which it needs desperately. It has already expanded into middle east for existentialist purposes to survive. do you think china will curb its growth just for american monopoly over middle east oil?
Soon, very soon, an existential war for survival will take place. Not just about manufacturing or currency devaulation, but thee stretegic geo-political contest of wills, of man power and military might will occur. Push comes to shoove, china will not hesistate for minute, as well as the Empire for its part, in doing ALL IT TAKES to secure its very continuance on this planet. Naturally, an exchange of nuclear capabilities will be the defining and ultimate end product, the moment the world has been waiting for.

The only simpleton here is you.

First of all, oil is sold on the global market. That is, whoever pays the most gets the oil. Pretty simple supply and depend thing. China, the US, Germany, Brazil - we all compete evenly in this market.

Secondly, oil is going to run out sooner rather than latter. The Chinese are stupid. They know this. Like the US and Europe, the Chinese will start moving towards alternate energy sources. Nuclear for the most part. And that's because the oil just isn't going to be there for anyone.

Thirdly, nobody can win a nuclear war. The US and Russia still maintain HUGE arsenals capable of killing everyone in China several times over. The Chinese know this. For the same reasons the US and Russia never went to war, neither will the US and China. The stakes are completely different when nukes are involved.

And North Korea is a joke. It has a couple of weapons with poor delivery systems. And it looks like it's will to dump it's capability at the negotiating table.
